The Rice Exporters Association (REA) has come up with a new proposal that they will also buy grain directly from farmers.
This would provide farmers with a minimum support price, as well as transportation, storage and rice milling costs to governments.
The REA has sent proposals to the Central and State Governments in this regard.
‘There are three benefits to rice exporters buying grain from farmers at once. The crop grown by the farmer will definitely get MSP.
Purchasing for the government, saves other costs. Rice exports from one country to another are on the rise, ”the REA said.
రైతుల నుంచి తాము కూడా నేరుగా ధాన్యం కొనుగోలు చేస్తామని రైస్‌ ఎక్స్‌పోర్టర్స్‌ అసోసియేషన్‌ (ఆర్‌ఈఏ) కొత్త ప్రతిపాదన తెరపైకి తెచ్చింది.
దీనిద్వారా రైతులకు కనీస మద్దతు ధర దక్కడంతోపాటు, అటు ప్రభుత్వాలకూ రవాణా, స్టోరేజీ, బియ్యం మిల్లింగ్‌ ఖర్చులు మిగులుతాయని పేర్కొన్నది.
ఇందుకు సంబంధించి కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలకు ఆర్‌ఈఏ ప్రతిపాదనలు పంపించింది.
‘బియ్యం ఎగుమతిదారులు రైతుల నుంచి ధాన్యం కొనుగోలు చేయడం వల్ల ఒకేసారి మూడు ప్రయోజనాలు కలుగుతాయి.
రైతు పండించిన పంటకు కచ్చితంగా ఎంఎస్‌పీ దక్కుతుంది. ప్రభుత్వానికి కొనుగోలు, ఇతర ఖర్చులు ఆదా అవుతాయి.
దేశం నుంచి ఇతర దేశాలకు బియ్యం ఎగుమతులు పుంజుకుంటాయి’ అని ఆర్‌ఈఏ పేర్కొన్నది.
